New stone build house in the Cyclades

Located in the fabulous Cyclades, the TZ3 project was a unique blend of architectural vision and our technical skill in window and door crafting. For this seaside venture, we incorporated a range of products: Advanced KR76, Louvers K72 in Corfu style, panoramic lift-and-slide doors from our Premium HST K76 series, and striking main entrances from the Executive K76 series with composite panels.

The design challenges were varied starting with the aesthetic required to match the colored window frames with the native stones used in the building, excavated from the same area. After working closely with the architect we chose red and cream shades, all wood texture, matching the local stonework. The result was a wonderful marriage of art and technology.

Coastal conditions present unique challenges, especially in terms of corrosion and exposure. Our uPVC products excel in such situations—its quality and design ensure that the parts that perforate between the sash and the frame are adequately protected, providing longevity and performance. In addition, we have been able to implement energy-efficient glazing solutions that are 70% more emissive than most conventional systems. This was achieved through close consultation with the architect, ensuring that all options were in line with the overall objectives of the scheme such as energy efficiency, landscape integration and long-term performance
